How does AI job matching work?

Your resume is parsed into a structured profile covering skills, experience years, career level, and job family. Each job listing is enriched with AI-extracted fields including required level and job family. Your profile is then compared against each job using semantic similarity and career-level alignment. Jobs are bucketed into Apply Now, Apply with Strategy, or Not Yet based on match quality.

What do the job result buckets mean?

After an AI scan, every job is sorted into one of three buckets. Apply Now means a strong match where your skills and experience align well with the role. Apply with Strategy means a good fit with one gap to address in your cover letter. Not Yet means a significant gap exists and you should revisit when you have closed that gap.

Can I browse jobs without an account?

Yes. The Browse Jobs page is fully public with no account required. You can search by job title or keyword, filter by Job Family, Job Level, Location Type, and Job Type, and read full job descriptions. To use AI features such as cover letters or interview prep, a free account is required.

How does the cover letter generator work?

Accepted Answer

The AI generates a fully personalized cover letter for each job by reading both your resume and the job description. It references the company's actual requirements and your real achievements to produce a tailored letter. Available on Pro and Power plans.

What subscription plans are available?

Accepted Answer

MyCareerLevel offers three plans. Free: 3 total AI scans at no cost. Pro at $19.99 per month: 15 AI job scans per month plus cover letter generation, interview prep, and resume recommendations. Power at $34.99 per month: 100 AI job scans per month plus all AI features and priority support.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel any time with no penalties. Go to Subscription in the sidebar, click Cancel Plan, and confirm. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free tier and your scan history and saved jobs are preserved.
